How to Measure Your Van for a Perfect Fit

20 December 2023 5 min read

Accurate measurements are the foundation of a kit that drops straight in. Here is exactly what to measure and how to record it.

Our kits are engineered for each van model and wheelbase, but a few key measurements help us confirm the fit before anything is cut. Spend twenty careful minutes here and you save hours later.

The core measurements

Measure the internal length from the back of the cab bulkhead to the inside of the rear doors, along the floor. Then measure the internal width at floor level and again at the height of your worktop, because van walls curve inward as they rise.

Arches, fixings and openings

Record the wheel arch positions and heights, since these shape where the bed and seating can sit. Note the location of any existing fixings, vents or windows you want to keep clear, and measure the door openings if larger panels need to pass through.

Record it properly

Write every measurement down with a quick sketch rather than trusting memory. Photos of each wall and corner help too, and they let us spot anything unusual before production starts.

Send your measurements and photos with your enquiry and we will confirm the right kit for your van. If anything looks off, we will flag it before you commit, not after.
